When Sheldon first arrived at the city shelter, he was too scared to even leave his kennel. Thankfully, he had some awesome volunteers looking out for him and he headed off to short-term foster. Once in a home setting, Sheldon really came out of his shell and caught the eye of Freedom First Rescue.

Sheldon is about 8 months old and 40 pounds. Everyone is baffled by his breed, best guess is pittie/beagle mix, maybe some basset. But whatever he is, it’s 100% cute. Sheldon thrives when he’s around other dogs, they are his favorite. He has also done great with small children and currently in foster with cats. He is a total goof and full of personality.

Sheldon is scheduled for surgery to correct his cherry eye this week and will be ready to head off to his forever home very soon. If interested in learning more about Sheldon, email [email protected]. ••
