The Mummers Parade is a New Year’s Day tradition in Philadelphia, and we are thrilled to play a role in keeping that spirited tradition alive.”

The Mummers Parade will be broadcast live on WDPN-TV (MeTV2), WFMZ.com and the WFMZ+ app available on Firestick, Roku, Apple TV, iOS and Android devices for the second year in a row. The Mummers and WDPN-TV announced their new three-year television partnership to broadcast the parade through 2026. New this year the 2024 parade will also be simulcasted on 69 WFMZ-TV, which will extend the broadcast further north into parts of the Wilkes-Barre and New York markets.

“Last year was the first year of broadcasting the parade,” said MeTV2 and WFMZ-TV President and GM Barry Fisher. “It was a pleasure working with the Mummers and the City of Philadelphia to bring this event to our television audience. Everyone we encountered in the process, especially Sam Regalbuto, were extremely helpful to make the broadcast possible. We are pleased to now be the official home of the Mummers Parade and look forward to broadcasting it to Philadelphia on MeTV2 and viewers around the country via our streaming platforms WFMZ+ and WFMZ.com.”

Viewers can watch the broadcast from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. across all platforms. Larry Mendte and Dawn Stensland will return as on-air hosts and will be joined by Megan McFarland, providing commentary for the Comics, Wenches and Fancy divisions, and David Grzybowski, providing commentary for the String Band division. In addition, Dennis Pellegrino, captain of the Murray Comic Club, and Sam Regalbuto, president of the String Band Association, will provide first-hand insight throughout the parade.

“Last year in our final effort to broadcast our beloved Mummers Parade, we received the support from two organizations who truly cared for and admired the entertainment and charitable impact the Mummers bring to the city of Philadelphia,” Regalbuto said. “That last-minute effort and support garnered a loyal and understanding partnership unlike the Mummers have ever experienced in our history. We are forever indebted to our new friends and excited to announce our continued relationship with Live! Casino & Hotel and MeTV 2/WPDN and WFMZ once again to ensure the 2024 Mummers Parade will be broadcast live on television and online for all of our fans around the world to see.”
