Future Days Beer Co., a new opening in Northern Liberties, has officially opened at 433 Fairmount Ave., revitalizing a long-vacant carriage house into a vibrant brewery.

This exciting addition to the Northern Liberties neighborhood is already creating buzz among anyone who loves a cold one.

Co-founders Sean McGuire and Nick Mata started their brewing journey a decade ago in a Fordham University apartment bathtub. Now, they’re ready to share their craft with Philadelphia.

McGuire and Mata first experimented with beer-making as college juniors, cooling their mixtures in a pot, a stovetop, and a bathtub of ice cubes.

After graduation, the duo pursued careers in finance and accounting but rekindled their brewing passion five years later in Mata’s Long Island garage.

Weekend brewing sessions and award-winning homebrew creations led them into professional brewing.

In Philadelphia, McGuire persuaded Mata to bring Future Days Beer Co. to life. They chose a property that had sat vacant for 15 years for their Northern Liberties’ new opening bar.

Transforming the space into a brewery and tasting room took significant time and effort, but the results reflect their vision for a unique beer destination.

This Northern Liberties news has beer fans excited to visit a new spot for craft brews.

The brewery’s opening lineup includes four beers: two hazy pale ales, a West Coast pale ale, and their flagship Future Days Kölsch, with a fifth beer expected soon.

The co-founders are proud of their approach, crafting beers under 6% ABV for easy sipping without sacrificing complexity.

The interior offers a cozy, inviting atmosphere with vintage touches like a pool table and custom tables made from reclaimed local timber.

Patrons can enjoy the beers from Thursday through Sunday and are encouraged to bring their own food.

Plans for food trucks and an outdoor patio are in the works for warmer months, meaning there’s even more to look forward to in Northern Liberties.

McGuire and Mata are on a mission to brew standout beer that resonates with casual drinkers and craft beer lovers.

They aim to create a space where guests can relax, watch Eagles games, and enjoy top-tier brews. Future Days Beer Co. is poised to become a new favorite in Northern Liberties, offering a fresh take on Philadelphia’s craft beer scene.
