On Sunday, May 18, 2025, Susan G. Komen hosted its annual MORE THAN PINK Walk at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. The 3.1-mile walk brought together 4,500 supporters, survivors, and families to honor those impacted by the disease. Together, participants raised over $290,000 to fund breast cancer research and provide critical support services for patients and their families.

Hosted by CBS3 Anchor Natasha Brown, the event featured entertainment by The Mummers Ferko String Band and DJ Walter Smoothflicks. Participants also enjoyed refreshments provided by B-Cups Coffee, ShopRite, Wawa, and Wegmans.

“As a newer member of the Komen team, I had a good idea of what to expect from the Walk, but nothing prepares you for the whole experience. The thousands of survivors, family members, supporters, and local community members fill the event with hope, love, and meaning,” said Rachel Eichem, Susan G. Komen Executive Director, PA & DE. “It truly is an uplifting day that leaves you wishing you didn’t have to wait a whole year to be a part of something so special again. We are grateful to all of our sponsors, donors, and fundraisers for helping us in our mission to wipe out breast cancer and make events like the More Than Pink Walk such a success.”

The Walk provided participants with the opportunity to come together and connect in meaningful ways by sharing their passion, sharing their stories, and connecting with others, all while fundraising to support life-saving programs and research.

The funds raised at the Walk help Komen meet the urgent needs of breast cancer patients by supporting vital services such as the free Patient Care Hotline, which offers patient navigation, financial assistance, and emotional support. These contributions also drive groundbreaking research focused on patient-centered protections that allow more lives to be saved. In fiscal year 2024, Susan G. Komen’s Financial Assistance Program provided $383,250 in direct financial support to more than 670 people in Pennsylvania undergoing breast cancer treatment or living with metastatic breast cancer, delivering critical relief to those in need.

For those who could not be in attendance, donations are being accepted here.
