Glen Foerd 3rd Thursday Returns July 17 with Live Music, BBQ & Family Fun

Glen Foerd’s popular 3rd Thursday event returns on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Glen Foerd, 5001 Grant Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114.

This month’s event features:

  • Live music by Japanese American multi-instrumentalist Rachel Andie
  • Food from Babalouie BBQ
  • Lawn games and an arts and crafts table for all ages
  • Drinks available for purchase

Visitors are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs to relax on the scenic grounds. The historic Main House will also be open for free self-guided tours throughout the evening.

The event is pay-what-you-wish, with a suggested donation of $10. Donations help support Glen Foerd’s free community programming year-round.

The grounds of Glen Foerd are open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Access to Glen Foerd is only restricted during private events and after dark. The Glen Foerd mansion is open for public visitation, free of charge, on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Visiting the mansion includes access to areas on all four floors of the house, where pieces from Glen Foerd’s historic collection are on display alongside installations by Artists in Residence.
