The new venture, located in the new El Rose Building at 1229 N. Front St., will complement its flagship location, located at its production facility, Dock Street South.

“We want Dock Street Fishtown to be a go-to stop on every friend group and couple’s Fishtown outing,” Dock Street creative director Renata Vesey said. “We’ve been proudly flowing through neighborhood draft lines for the past two decades, and we are incredibly proud and excited to now call Front Street home.”

Dock Street Fishtown will feature a selection of the brewery’s award-winning beers and spirits. A whimsical cocktail menu, which includes options for those who choose not to imbibe, will be offered. Dock Street Fishtown will also offer up Mediterranean small plates, snacks, dips and sandwiches prepped by 13-year Dock Street veteran head chef P.J. Freeman.

Food and beer offerings will be available for dine-in and takeout.

For those choosing to make an outing of it, the intimate taproom and cocktail bar can seat around 30 guests. The taproom’s design draws inspiration from the brand’s nautical roots, and includes a bright pink, custom-made “It’s All in Your Head” neon sign, a slogan that has been with the brewery since its 1985 founding.

Speaking of that, the opening of Dock Street Fishtown comes on the heels of the brewing company’s 2019 move from its original location in a restored firehouse in West Philly to Dock Street South at 2118 Washington Ave. The brewery’s expansion to Fishtown reflects its continued growth and success as a pioneer in the craft beer industry.

“Dock Street South is the new blueprint in terms of our brand identity going forward, but I really think Dock Street Fishtown is the ‘Rosetta Stone’ location – it really is an amalgamation of everything we’ve represented and a bit of where we’re headed as well,” Vesey said. “It’s all here, in the quality of the beer and cocktails, in the symbolism buried within the design and in the tightness of the concept. We’re entering a really dynamic, fruitful era in our company’s nearly four-decade history.” ••
