UPDATE: Police release sketch of man wanted in rape of Fishtown teen

Philadelphia Police have just released a sketch of a man wanted for the July 11 rape of a 14-year-old girl in Fishtown.

The attacker is described as a black man between 19- and 21-years-old, 5-feet 9-inches with a thin build and facial hair.

Police said two strangers in a black “square-designed” car with red doors approached the victim at Gaul and Letterly streets between 7:30 and 8 p.m.

According to the Special Victims Unit, the two men abducted the teen and drove her to the nearby intersection of Richmond Street and Lehigh Avenue. The attacker described in the sketch then took the girl to a location along the desolate railroad tracks just north of Lehigh Avenue and raped her.

Police said no further information was available, but that the case is still under investigation. Anyone with information should call the Special Victims Unit at 215–685–3251 or 215–685–3252.••
