Tumbling instructor needed

Frank Glavin, A&W Playground, is looking for an energetic and knowledgeable instructor for its Tumbling Program, which serves children aged 3 through teen. Bridesburg Pool bricks

Own a piece of the Bridesburg Pool. Authentic pool bricks are available for purchase for $10 each. Proceeds benefit the gymnastics program. Bricks available while supplies last.

Food Drive

In conjunction with Philabundance, a food drive will be held until the end of June with donation points at South Kensington Community Partners , 1301 N. 2nd St.,, PlayArts, 1241 N .Front St., the UPS Store, 3rd Street and Girard Avenue, and Spot’s Spot Pet Grooming, 123 W. Girard. Among Philabundance’s most-needed items are canned fruits & veggies, canned tuna, meat & soup; cereal; PB & J; rice; cooking oil, and whole grain pasta.

Tumbling and gymnastics registration

Registration for the Tumbling and Gymnastics Camp at Bridesburg Recreation Center, 4601 Richmond St., is now open. The camp is for ages 3 to 12, will be held Monday, July 9, to Friday, July 27, from 9 to 10 a.m., and is limited to 45 children. Cost is $70 for three weeks or $30 per week. Camp must be paid in full at registration.

Art classes

Art classes will be held every Wednesday at noon at Lutheran Settlement House, 1340 Frankford Ave. Classes will be led by Barbara Morehead. Cost is $2 per class. For details, call 215–426–8610.

Ferko concert

The Joseph A. Ferko String Band will perform a free community concert at the Bridesburg Recreation Center on Tuesday, June 26, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will take place in front of the rec. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music.

Preschool Storytime & Playtime

Richmond Library will host Preschool Storytime and Playtime on Tuesday, June 26, at 10:30 a.m. Miss Meghan invites children ages 1 to 4 and their caregivers to join her for stories, songs, and activities. Read, Baby, Read: Parent Group at Porchlight

Porchlight Kensington Storefront, 2774 Kensington Ave., will hold Read, Baby, Read Parent Group on Wednesday, June 27, at 11 a.m. Connect with other parents of young children, share casual conversation and learn about easy, fun ways to help your baby learn and develop. Bring your baby/toddler, or come solo. Come to all, or drop in when you can. Light refreshments will be served.

Walkers & Talkers Pajama Storytime

Richmond Library, 2987 Almond St., will host Read, Baby, Read Walkers & Talkers Pajama Storytime on Wednesday, June 27, at 6 p.m. Dance, wiggle and sing along in our fun, free storytime for young independent movers. Read, Baby, Read My First Storytime

Richmond Library, 2987 Almond St., will host Read, Baby, Read My First Storytime on and Thursday, June 28, at 2:30 p.m. Bring your little one for free lap time with stories, songs, rhymes and bounces. Port Richmond Community Festival

The Port Richmond Community Festival will take place on Saturday, June 30, from noon to 5 p.m. at Campbell Square, 2535 E. Allegheny Ave. The event will feature 85 vendors, five food trucks, a moon bounce, an obstacle course, a dunk tank, face painting, a magic show, a Michael Jackson impersonator, and appearances by Mickey and Minnie.

On The Delaware Music Festival

“On the Delaware” is a new music festival featuring a variety of Philadelphia’s most popular rising artists, spotlighting the diverse and vibrant artistic vibe of Northeast Philadelphia, which will be held on Saturday, June 30, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Pennypack on the Delaware. “On the Delaware” is presented by Riverfront North Partnership, Southeast Northeast — The SENE, Sandbox Music Publishing and Wawa Welcome America! In addition to 15 musical acts on two stages, the event will have a wide-range of entertainment to engage the community and the whole family including: a community corridor, kids corner, yoga, food trucks, a beer tent, local craft vendors and more! World Cup watch party

The Dell Music Center, 2400 Strawberry Mansion Drive in East Fairmount Park, will host a World Cup watch party on Saturday, June 30, from 2 to 5 p.m. The game will be in the round of 16. Property Tax / Rent Rebate Program

Pennsylvania Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program applications are now available. There are new guidelines, which will permit individuals who qualify to receive a rebate between $250 and $650 from property taxes or rent paid last year. This application must be filed by June 30. All inquiries are confidential and services are provided free of charge.

Fleet Reserve Association meeting

Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) George L. Carlin; Branch 001 will meet on Monday. Bikes, Beans & Beers

A group bicycle ride starting in Fishtown at Palmer Park, Frankford and Columbia avenues, and heading north along portions of the Riverfront North parks and trails will take place on Saturday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop sinclude : River Wards Café and Evil Genius Beer Company, where a dollar of every beer sold in the beer garden from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. will go to support maintenance of the parks and trails of Riverfront North. Free Outdoor Movie Night: Despicable Me 3

Come out with the whole family to enjoy a movie under the stars. Holy Inn going to AC

Holy Innocents Catholic Church is organizing a casino trip for Wednesday, Aug. 15. A bus will depart from L Street and Hunting Park Avenue at 9:30 a.m. A Mass will be celebrated at noon at Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall, followed by a procession to a blessing of the sea. A carnival-like reception at St. Michael Church will follow. The trip includes a $25 slots package at Tropicana Casino. 16th annual Shore Thing

St. Anne Parish will hold its 16th annual Shore Thing on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Keenan’s, Wildwood, NJ. Tickets cost $35 and include domestic bottled beer, wine, soda, buffet, music, and photo booth. All proceeds go toward the installation of an elevator life in St. Anne Church.
