After many months of planning and design, Project organizer Kathy Rhoads unveiled a new historic banner at Girard and Frankford avenues.

Unveiled on Saturday, March 24, the banner is just one of 125 banners that the civic organization Fishtown Action plans to install throughout the neighborhood.

Each banner will be different, and will include an image. The design team has focused on three topics for these images: history, art and the community.

Rhoads said the project is bankrolled through $47,000 in funding from the Penn Treaty Special Services District.
