Riverfront North partnership presented Councilman Bobby Henon with the Robert A. Borski Jr. Award of Excellence, given to individuals who are key in advancing Riverfront North Partnership’s vision of a continuous 11-mile network of trails and parks along the Delaware River in Northeast Philadelphia.

“Henon has provided a key connection in city relations and has made significant strides in creating green spaces in our part of the city and reconnecting the people of the community to their river” said former U.S. Rep. Bob Borski, chairman of the board of Riverfront North Partnership.

The award is normally presented at the annual Riverfront North Partnership spring fling, which was delayed this year.

Henon is the sixth recipient of the award. Previous winners were Allyson Schwartz, Mark Hankin, Ron Greller, Frank Mayer III and James McAneney. ••
