Rivers Casino hosted a “JOBtober” career fair at its event center in Fishtown this past Tuesday.

Throughout the morning and afternoon, prospective employees were able to meet with representatives from multiple departments at the casino. On-the-spot interviews were conducted for both full- and part-time positions in, among other services, gaming, food and beverage, security and player services.

According to community relations manager Emily Dones, job offers were made to more than 60 candidates.

“We had a great turnout at the JOBtober Fair,” Dones said. “We invest in our team members and are thrilled to offer our new hires great benefits and opportunities to grow at Rivers, and in the gaming industry.”

Attendees were also able to sample fall menu offerings put together by in-house chef and former Hell’s Kitchen contestant Andrew Pearce and enter a raffle for tickets to the Flyers’ season opener.
