Local 22, the Philadelphia firefighters and paramedics union, endorsed Dr. Mehmet Oz for U.S. Senate.

The union released the following statement: “Dr. Oz showed up, listened and pledged to support Philadelphia firefighters and paramedics. He will fight to make sure firefighters are protected both during their service and after. We must make sure our first responders have safe working conditions, exceptional healthcare and a financially secure retirement. We can count on Dr. Oz to fight like hell for us and, today, we proudly endorse him.”

Dr. Oz thanked the union for its endorsement, saying: “Philadelphia firefighters and paramedics risk their lives every day – giving us their best when life or death can be a matter of seconds. These heroes deserve our thanks and support instead of having their jobs made harder by John Fetterman’s radical agenda to decriminalize drugs and put dangerous criminals back on our streets. As a doctor and Pennsylvania’s next senator, I will work to bring balance back to Washington, support critical local services and keep our communities safe.” ••
