Kalaya reopens in Fishtown

Chutatip “Nok” Suntaranon and her partners on Tuesday opened the doors of their expansive new Kalaya, located at 4 W. Palmer St., between Frankford Avenue and Front Street, in Fishtown. The restaurant is inspired by and named after Suntaranon’s mother.

In partnership with Defined Hospitality (Suraya, Pizzeria Beddia, R&D Cocktail Bar, Condesa/El Techo), the new Kalaya features 145 seats and will be open seven days a week, with dinner offered from 5 to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, with service extended until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Reservations are available on Resy 30 days in advance for parties of up to eight people. Those looking to book parties of nine or more, as well as inquiries about private events, should email [email protected].

Kalaya had been located in South Philadelphia.
