The Kensington Tiger will hit the road Monday to face the Swenson Arts & Tech Lion at 3:15 PM.

Both teams are determined to turn things around after tough losses in their previous games, so we can expect an intense matchup.

Kensington basketball is coming off a narrow 49-46 defeat to Franklin Towne on Thursday.

And that loss snapped their seven-game winning streak dating back to last season.

The game was tightly contested, and Reid Smith, who scored 15 points, and Alejandro Paulino, who added 12, delivered incredible performances.

This marked the Kensington Tigers’ closest loss since January 18th, which has undoubtedly left them eager to get back on track.

Meanwhile, the Swenson Arts & Tech Lion struggled in their game against Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush, falling 62-44.

Despite the final score, Swenson made an impressive start, leading 24-15 after the first quarter. However, they could not maintain that early momentum against a strong opponent.

Both teams now hold 1-1 records, which has set the stage for a competitive showdown.

The last meeting between these two programs was in January 2015, when the Kensington Tiger narrowly fell to the Swenson Arts & Tech Lion by just one point, 44-43.

So, Monday’s game provides Kensington basketball with a shot at redemption and an opportunity to even the score.

Will Kensington’s cohesive offense, led by dynamic players like Smith and Paulino, push them to victory?

Or can the Swenson Arts & Tech Lion capitalize on their strong starts and secure a win on their home court?

Well, as the action tips off Monday afternoon, fans won’t have to wait long to find out.
