Grammy-winning artist Paula Abdul and celebrity hairstylist Martino Cartier will host this year’s Wigs & Wishes gala at Rivers Casino.

The event, which will take place Saturday, Oct. 23, at 5 p.m. in the casino’s event center, will celebrate women and children currently battling cancer.

“Wigs & Wishes is the culmination of the hard work our team and volunteers do throughout the year,” Cartier, the organization’s founder, said in a statement. “Our mission is to give people a chance to enjoy life and forget about their fight for a few moments.”

Wigs & Wishes is a nonprofit organization that helps to provide over 25,000 wigs to recipients at no cost each year.

The night will feature Latin music, drinks, appetizers, a dancing performance by TikTok star Frankie Zulferino and a fireworks display.

The event’s highlight will be Cartier crowning a queen and princess of the evening.

“Rivers is honored to partner with Paula and Martino on a night that will be unforgettable,” said Justin Moore, general manager of Rivers Casino. “This emotional event will be filled with tears of joy and gratitude, and hundreds of smiles will light up The Event Center.”
